A 50-YEAR-OLD Port Kembla business that started from humble beginnings to become one of the largest privately owned bakeries in the country, will feature on a national television program this Sunday.

Falcones Bakery principal Andrew Falcone was recently interviewed on the Nine Network's Your Business Success program which will be televised on WIN Television.

In the program, Andrew will talk about the family's proud history in the industry.

The involvement of his son Benjamin Falcone takes that tradition to eight generations.

"We are proud of what we have achieved over the years and wish to keep growing within our local community and beyond," he said.

Andrew is also proud of the way his business supports the Illawarra community. Falcones has actively supported events such as the Camp Quality Convoy for Kids, the Cancer Council's Relay for Life, Australia Day Breakfast by the Lake and numerous sporting events.

Bakery manager Roger Ferraz said Falcones Bakery was nominated for the program by a Commonwealth Bank branch manager.

Your Business Success is an innovative program that connects large, successful companies with smaller up-and-coming ones in a mentoring role.

For Sunday's episode, Falcones Bakery was matched with Kiama's Manning St Deli.
